Committed to raising Hereford beef responsibly, consistently

At a time nearly three-hundred years ago, when most cattle were raised to pull plows or produce milk, the Hereford breed was developed for its beef. By the early 19th century, the Hereford was popular among American cattlemen and recognized for its palatability, tenderness and outstanding flavor by beef consumers and connoisseurs alike.

Today, Vande Rose Farms Herefords meet USDA guidelines and are certified by the owner and traceable back to provable Hereford parentage (e.g. registration papers) and British breeds (Angus, Red Angus, Shorthorn, Hereford or South Devon). Qualifying cattle must be traceable to one or two purebred Hereford parents. We can trace all of our Premium Hereford Beef back to the animal. We can see when it was born, who raised it, what it was fed, when it was harvested and how the carcass graded.

After weaning at about seven months of age, we begin feeding cattle a nutritious diet of natural grains, vitamins, minerals and fresh water. We only select cattle showing the Vande Rose Farms quality standards and characteristics for further processing at 30 months of age or less. We’ve specifically trained our processing partners to ensure our high-quality standards are maintained throughout processing and packaging. And Vande Rose Farms delivers Premium Hereford Beef in our own trucks, from coast to coast.

Our commitment to the Hereford breed and sustainable, responsible and consistent production practices is evident in every bite of Vande Rose Farms Premium Hereford Beef.
